Pavion Corp is seeking a motivated Low‑Voltage Drafter 1 to join our security business unit. You will create 2D AutoCAD drawings for low‑voltage systems, interpret architectural plans, and revise drawings based on engineer input.

You will collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure accuracy and deliverables. The role emphasizes attention to detail, learning in low‑voltage design, and effective communication within a team.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of drafting experience (internship or related coursework acceptable).
• Proficiency in reading construction documents and applying markup.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy.
• Willingness to learn and grow in low‑voltage design and drafting.
• Strong communication skills and ability to take direction from senior team members.

Responsibilities

• Prepare 2D AutoCAD drawings for low‑voltage systems, including floor plans and device layouts.
• Develop coordinated low‑voltage documentation by interpreting architectural and engineering drawings.
• Revise drawings based on redlines, field markups, and engineer input.
• Maintain drawing accuracy, file organization, and adherence to drafting standards.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and senior drafters to resolve drawing issues.
• Assist with preparation of submittal packages, shop drawings, and record documentation.

Pavion and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated Low‑Voltage Drafter 1 to join our security business unit.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare 2D AutoCAD drawings for low‑voltage systems, including floor plans, device layouts, riser diagrams, and details.
• Interpret architectural and engineering drawings to develop coordinated low‑voltage documentation.
• Revise drawings based on redlines, field markups, and engineer input.
• Maintain drawing accuracy, file organization, and adherence to company drafting standards.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and senior drafters to resolve drawing issues.
• Assist with preparation of submittal packages, shop drawings, and record documentation.

Required Qualifications

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D drafting required).
• 0-2 years of drafting experience (internship or related coursework acceptable).
• Ability to read and understand construction documents.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to accuracy.
• Willingness to learn and grow in low‑voltage design and drafting.
• Strong communication skills and ability to take direction from senior team members.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to or familiarity with low‑voltage systems (AV, security, fire alarm, intercom, nurse call, etc.).
• Experience with Bluebeam Revu or other markup/review tools.
• Basic knowledge of industry standards (BICSI, NFPA, IBC) is a plus.
• Associate degree, technical certificate, or relevant coursework in Drafting or Design Technology.

The hourly pay range for this position is $XX.XX-$YY.YY per hour. The starting hourly pay will be determined based on qualifications, experience, education, skills, certifications, and internal equity. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package.
