Job summary

Atlas Search is seeking multiple Core Operations Engineers (VES/VPMM) to join fast-paced teams in a hybrid role in either New York City or Austin, TX. The position focuses on deployment, management, and optimization of large-scale trading systems across hundreds of venues worldwide.

The base salary ranges from $125,000 to $160,000 per year, with bonus eligibility discussed at offer. Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in site reliability or production support and a strong Linux background.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of site reliability, core operations, or production support experience; strong recent graduates welcome.
• Strong working knowledge of Linux systems; exposure to Windows environments a plus.
• Cool-headed under pressure; comfortable with time-sensitive troubleshooting and decision making.
• Interest in high-transaction and/or low-latency environments; appetite for learning about global markets and cutting-edge technology.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, manage, and optimize electronic trading systems operating across global exchanges and venues.
• Serve as the first point of contact for all external trading connections, troubleshooting connectivity, latency, and risk issues.
• Engage in system triage and issue resolution for Windows and Linux environments.
• Collaborate with traders, external counterparties, and exchanges to address micro-market structure challenges.
• Contribute to deployment, risk management, and maintenance of production trading systems.
• Operate under time pressure with clear communication and composure.
• Work on special technical projects, automation with global engineering and operations teams.
