Job summary

Opanga Networks is seeking a Software Engineer II to contribute to design, development, and testing of high-performance network optimization products. The role emphasizes C programming and performance optimization for low-latency systems.

The candidate will work on networking features, packet processing pipelines, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver scalable software in hybrid environments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in CS, EE, or equivalent experience.
  • 2–5 years of experience in low-level systems programming (C/C++/Rust) in performance-critical environments.
  • Deep understanding of TCP/IP and UDP networking.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to design, development, and testing of high-performance packet processing pipelines.
  • Implement and maintain networking features in low-latency environments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop scalable, maintainable software.
  • Optimize packet handling performance using multi-core CPUs and hardware acceleration.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve networking performance and functionality issues.
  • Contribute to system architecture, design, and code reviews for high-quality software.
  • Stay up-to-date with network optimization and performance enhancements.
  • Develop features for analyzing and optimizing network traffic.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
