Job summary

Point72 Asset Management, L.P. is seeking a detail-oriented Low-Latency Market Data Engineer with 10+ years of experience to design, build, and support Linux-based market data systems in a fast-paced environment.

You will work on co-located infrastructure, engage with vendors, and implement monitoring and automation to optimize performance and MTTR across global teams. Strong OS, networking, and scripting skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in network design for trading or enterprise services.
• 5+ years Linux System Administration in RHEL environments.
• Experience with high frequency trading (HFT) environments in co-locations.
• Experience with Market Data and/or third-party feed handlers.
• Experience tuning Linux servers for low latency and high throughput.

Responsibilities

• Design, engineer, implement and 3rd-level support of Linux and Market Data systems.
• Manage, communicate, and implement infrastructure changes, upgrades, and migrations on co-located devices and Linux servers.
• Support, monitor, and maintain co-location market data infrastructure running on RHEL.
• Engage with vendors on protocol upgrades and operational issues.
• Analyze packet captures and liaise with Market Data capture vendors on issues and performance.
• Implement a strategic monitoring platform with Prometheus and Grafana.
• Develop and expand AI-based tools that link to data sources for instrumentation and MTTR.
• Automate data gathering and configuration changes with Ansible, GitHub, NetBox
