Job summary

Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits is seeking a leader to direct warehousing, distribution, and operations across large distribution centers in support of growth. You will own local P&L responsibilities and drive high productivity with quality customer service while controlling expenses.

The role emphasizes implementing continuous improvements, optimizing processes, and leading teams to deliver reliable service in a fast-paced beverage distribution environment.

Responsibilities

• Direct all aspects of distribution operation including picking and packing, shipping/receiving, replenishment, inventory control, production, returns, and facilities maintenance.
• Set, evaluate, and maintain performance standards for all warehouse areas to meet SLAs and client expectations.
• Drive operating efficiencies via continuous improvement and automation implementations.
• Lead cost-reduction initiatives through process improvements to sustain margins.
• Manage planning and control systems for the complete material flow from receiving through shipping and related transactional controls.
• Uphold safety, compliance, and company policy across distribution operations.

Southern Glazer's offers a competitive compensation package with expected first year total earnings of $253,500/year including bonus. In determining a final offer, the company will evaluate a specific candidate's education, skills and experience and will make an offer appropriately.

Overview

Responsible for directing all warehousing, distribution, and operations functions in a large distribution center or multiple smaller distribution centers in support of the company's strategic and annual growth plans. This role will have direct local P&L responsibilities of assigned location(s) and will be expected to deliver high productivity and quality customer service with minimal expenses.

Primary Responsibilities

• Direct all aspects of the distribution operation including picking and packing, shipping and receiving, replenishment, production, returns, inventory control management, and maintenance of facilities
• Establish, evaluate, and maintain performance standards for all areas of the warehouse that can be measured to ensure accountability and client Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
• Ensure operating efficiencies by constantly reviewing performance to identify continuous improvement opportunities and implement new strategies when needed
• Provides leadership in cost reduction through continuous process improvements and automation to maintain and enhance margins to sustain profitability
• Manage and administer the planning and control systems related to the complete flow of material from receiving through shipping, as well as the associated transactional controls required to support it
