Job summary

Alaska Airlines, Inc. is seeking a Manager Alaska Lounge to lead the lounge team and execute the strategy for airport lounges. The role oversees daily operations, staffing, vendor relationships, and guest experience at the designated lounge location.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in customer service or related fields, 2+ years in leadership, and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Requires weekend/holiday availability and valid WA certifications; Seattle location.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in customer/guest service or related areas.
  • 2 years of leadership experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training/experience.
  • Experience scheduling shift work.
  • Experience managing budget controls.
  • Experience overseeing a 24/7 operation.
  • Demonstrated customer service and familiarity with Alaska Airlines culture.
  • Effective verbal and written communication; strong organizational skills.
  • Willingness to work weekends/holidays/various shifts and be reachable 24/7.
  • Must have or obtain WA Food Handlers Certificate and MAST permit; able to serve alcohol.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Leads and prioritizes the Alaska Lounge team.
  • Executes lounge strategy within assigned location.
  • Contributes to long-term staffing, guest experience, partnerships, and initiatives.
  • Manages daily lounge operations, staffing, issues, and vendor management.
  • Resolves complex guest complaints and provides feedback for operations.
  • Manages local financial objectives and ensures budget adherence.
  • Oversees third-party culinary partner food/beverage execution and standards.
  • Drives continuous improvement with internal partners.
  • Develops staff via performance management and coaching.
  • Ensures training and audits comply with policies and rules.
