Bechtel Global Corporation is leading startup planning and coordination for a major Thacker Pass project in Nevada. You will work with project management, engineering, construction and clients to integrate the startup plan, identify risks and trends, manage progress reporting, and proactively course‑correct to meet goals and schedules.

Salary Range: $105,000–$160,200 annually
Thacker Pass is critical to energy security in the United States. Situated on the largest known lithium deposit in North America, this multi‑billion‑dollar mine and processing facility will ultimately produce more than six‑fold the current U.S. yearly output of lithium. The battery‑quality lithium carbonate produced at Thacker Pass will power up to 800,000 electric vehicles annually. As the EPCM contractor for Lithium Americas, Bechtel manages and integrates the efforts of a contractor team in engineering and construction, and oversees procurement of about $1 billion in goods and services. Located in the high desert of north‑central Nevada, approximately 25 mi from the Oregon border, one hour northwest of Winnemucca, and three hours northeast of Reno, the project offers outdoor recreation in northern Nevada or Lake Tahoe, and nearby.
In this role you will lead startup planning and coordination on major projects. You will work with project management, engineering, construction and clients to integrate the startup plan, identify risks and trends, manage progress reporting, and proactively course‑correct to ensure goals, schedules and requirements are met.
Level 1: Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) and 8–10 years of relevant experience or 12–14 years of relevant work experience.
Level 2: Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) and 10–13 years of relevant experience or 14–17 years of relevant work experience.
