Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Washes vehicle exterior and cleans interior and exterior windows, wiping door jambs.
• Applies wax to the auto body and buffs surface to preserve shine.
• Vacuum interiors and clean upholstery and carpets.
• Applies interior cleaners and preserves interior components.
• Cleans engine compartments with appropriate cleaners and steam equipment.
• Inspects vehicles on the lot for defects and reports issues to management.
• Detailing vehicles going out on the lot and keeping the sales lot neat.
• Install Voss license plates and post pricing stickers.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Summary

The detailer cleans and refurbishes new and used automobiles. Conforms to dealership and/or manufacturer specifications and time allowance.

Essential Duties:

• Works towards guaranteeing ultimate customer service and satisfaction.
• Washes vehicle exterior, cleans interior and exterior windows, and wipes down door jambs using cleaning solution, water, cloths, and brushes.
• Applies wax to auto body, and wipes or buffs surface to protect the surface and preserve shine, using a cloth or buffing machine.
• Vacuum the interior of vehicles to remove loose dirt and debris using a vacuum cleaner.
• Cleans upholstery, rugs, and other surfaces, using appropriate cleaning agents, applicators, and cleaning devices.
• Applies revitalizing and preservation agents to the interior vinyl or leather surfaces and treats fabrics with spot-and stain-resistant chemicals to preserve and protect interior components.
• Cleans engine and engine compartments with steam-cleaning equipment and various cleaning agents.
• Applies special-purpose cleaners to remove foreign materials which normal cleaning procedures do not remove. Utilizes experience and judgment and follows the recommendations of the product manufacturer.
• Inspects vehicles for noticeable defects, such as dents, scratches, torn upholstery, and poor mechanical operation.

Your Other Duties Include

• Detailing vehicles that are going out on the lot.
• Keep sales lot neat and orderly.
• Install Voss license plates.
• Inspect vehicles on the lot and report any issues to the manager
• Post pricing stickers
• Other duties as assigned by management
