Job summary

Webb Chevy Plainfield is seeking a Lot Attendant/Porter for a part-time position in Plainfield, IL. Responsibilities include preparing vehicles for delivery, keeping the lot organized, and maintaining vehicle cleanliness both inside and out.

The ideal candidate will have a clean driving record, be able to follow directions, and work well in a team environment. A background check and drug screen are required; a friendly, proactive attitude is important.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicles for delivery to customers in pristine condition.
• Assist with vehicle movement and positioning per management directions.
• Drive vehicles carefully and safely.
• Sort and store vehicle keys securely.
• Keep the lot neat and aligned with display standards.
• Maintain cleanliness of dealership parking areas and grounds.
• Clean interiors and exteriors of vehicles as needed.
• Ensure correct stickers and tags are displayed.
• Operate tools and equipment safely.
• Assist in snow and ice clearance during winter.
• Conduct a closing walk-through to secure the lot.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Lot Attendant/Porter- Part Time

The ideal candidate is mature and detail-oriented with a strong sense of responsibility, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a clean, orderly, and customer-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Prep new and used vehicles for delivery to customers, ensuring a pristine, customer-ready appearance
• Respond promptly to requests from cashiers or other team members as needed
• Drive vehicles in a careful and conscientious manner
• Cataloging, organizing, and securely storing vehicle keys
• Keep the vehicle lot neat and orderly; arrange vehicles as directed by management and in line with dealership display standards
• Maintain cleanliness in parking areas and dealership grounds
• Perform interior and exterior cleaning of vehicles as needed, including the trunk, glove compartments, tires, and windows
• Ensure that all vehicles display the correct stickers and tags
• Safely operate all necessary tools and equipment for the role
• During winter, assist in clearing doorways and pathways of snow and ice to ensure customer safety, clean off vehicles, and plow and salt lots
• Conduct a walk-through of the lot upon closing to confirm all vehicles are locked and secure
• Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

• Must have a clean driving record and hold a valid driver’s license
• Must be willing and able to submit to a Background Check and Drug Screen
