Job summary

FCBI seeks a Loss Control Consultant to deliver expert consultative services in workers’ compensation loss prevention, safety program design, and health initiatives at client sites across Florida. The role includes independent decision-making, on-site surveys, training delivery, and ongoing liaison with clients and underwriters.

The ideal candidate brings experience in safety and health, knowledge of Florida safety laws, and strong communication skills, with willingness to travel and operate

Qualifications

• Two or more years of general job safety and health experience.
• In-depth knowledge of Workers’ Compensation Insurance and related policy processing (Florida).
• Self-directed, able to work independently with discretion and integrity.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide Job Safety and Health consultative services to FCBI customers, including safety program design and implementation.
• Review loss data and provide statistical analysis of loss information.
• Conduct walk-through safety surveys and recommend hazard reductions.
• Deliver Job Safety and Health training in various formats (classroom, seminars, safety meetings, videos).
• Provide written/verbal reports and respond promptly to inquiries from customers.
• Maintain current knowledge of safety laws and continuing education requirements.
• Support risk reduction initiatives to meet performance goals for clients.
• Report material changes in insured operations to management and underwriting as required.
• Maintain valid Florida Driver’s License and travel as needed, including overnight travel.
