Job summary

Ace Hardware Corporation is hiring a Loss Prevention Officer in Visalia, CA for a 3rd shift (Sat-Wed, 9:30 PM–6:00 AM). You will supervise access, perform safety audits, monitor CCTV, and conduct inventory checks to safeguard people and assets.

Required high school diploma or GED; CJ degree or 3–5 years security experience preferred. Training provided; opportunities for growth across 15 distribution centers and corporate HQ.

• Experience in Security/Loss Prevention is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and supervise employees entering and exiting the building.
• Conduct Safety/Hazard/Security audits around the facility.
• Monitor hazard materials storeroom and clean spills.
• Oversee disposition of damaged items and move to safe location.
• Conduct inventories, cycle counts, and CCTV monitoring.
• Read SOPs, respond to alarms, and operate office equipment.
• Provide trainings to other employees.
• Maintain clean and orderly work areas.

Compensation Details

$19.20 to $24.00 per hour

Job Description

Loss Prevention Officer

Working Days and Shift

3rd Shift: Saturday to Wednesday, 9:30 PM to 6:00 AM (working days and shifts are subject to change).

What You’ll Do

• Oversees, observes, and supervises employees entering and exiting the building.
• Walks through and around the exterior of the entire facility conducting Safety/Hazard/Security audits.
• Continually monitors the hazard materials storeroom and cleans up spills.
• Oversees and supervises the disposition of damaged items, loads items onto push carts, and moves to safe location.
• Walks throughout the facility and conducts general investigations, inventory counts and cycle counts.
• Use computers and office equipment.
• Must read Standard Operating Procedures, hear fire/security alarms and phones, and be able to monitor CCTV.
• Provides trainings to other employees.
• Perform housekeeping duties, keep floors clean, and keep work areas neat and clean.

What You Need To Succeed

• Be a safety champion by promoting a safe and productive workplace through your own actions, including the proper use of PPE, safe operation of powered equipment and safe lifting techniques as determined by the role.
• Be an active participant in contributing to a successful safety culture in the facility.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability and willingness to work non-traditional shifts and hours.
• Experience with CCTV preferred.
• Degree in Criminal Justice or 3-5 years of practical experience in Security, Loss Prevention or Law Enforcement Field preferred.
• Able to work a varied schedule to include early mornings, swing shift, nights, weekends, and holidays when necessary.
• CPR/First Aide Certified or able to obtain certification through company provided training.
