Job summary

Fred Meyer is seeking a part-time Greeter to welcome customers as they enter and exit the store, assist with questions, and help monitor the Greeter Kiosk. The role involves handling EAS deactivations and responding to activations, while maintaining a high level of customer service and safety.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers as they enter and exit the store.
• Answer customer questions and assist with locating items.
• Assist with deactivation of Electronic Article Surveillance devices and monitor Greeter Kiosk.
• Respond to EAS activations and direct customers to registers as needed.
• Report any suspicious behavior to management and AP as appropriate.

Minimum

• High School Diploma or GED
• Strong attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive information

• Knowledge of Kroger policies, procedures, and organizational structure- Model customer 1st behavior; deliver and encourage other associates to deliver excellent customer service
• Acknowledge customers in a friendly manner as they enter and exit the store
• Maneuver in the store's entry and exit areas
• Politely ask customers to see their receipt for non-bagged items and direct customers to registers when non-bagged items are observed
• Respond to activations of Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) systems
• Assist customers with deactivation of EAS devices
• Answer customer questions concerning the location of items or sections within the store
• Direct communication with the district Asset Protection (AP) manager/district AP specialists to report suspicious behavior
• Assist customers with bascarts that may lock up with Purcheck
• Report safety concerns to supervisor
• Comply with corporate policies and promote/follow company initiatives
• Maintain flexibility to work any shift
• Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
