Regional Reporting, Inc. (RRI) is one of the largest independently owned providers of Loss Control to the property and casualty Insurance industry. We specialize in Property, General Liability, Products Liability, Fleet, Inland Marine, and Workers' Compensation.

RRI is seeking an experienced Insurance Loss Control Consultant throughout our coverage territory to conduct commercial insurance loss control inspections.

Insurance Loss Control Consultant

An Insurance Loss Control Consultant is responsible for performing commercial insurance inspections and completing insurance underwriting reports, which are used by insurance companies to properly underwrite policies.

The role involves driving to locations, taking photos, observing the interior and exterior of facilities, noting business operations to determine exposures, and identifying potential improvements. Findings are documented in an online insurance underwriting report. Work is assigned on a daily or weekly basis depending on the location.

Position Duties and Responsibilities
  • Recording onsite observations, measurements, and photos according to carrier-specific requirements
  • Identifying building and roof construction types, square footage, potential hazards
  • Completing assignments and reports promptly
  • Communicating regularly with the Field Manager to ensure efficient inspections
  • Coordinating inspection appointments with insured representatives onsite
  • Preparing and reporting inspection results, uploading photos, and creating diagrams
  • Driving to and from insured locations; some overnight travel may be required
Job Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with Loss Control Service Providers or Major Insurance Carriers
  • Understanding of commercial insurance lines, mainly Property, General Liability, and Inland Marine
  • Ability to identify building construction and ISO classes
  • Knowledge of NFPA codes
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
  • Excellent writing skills and computer literacy
  • Ability to work remotely with a PC, high-speed internet, and a smartphone
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
  • Ability to climb ladders up to 6 feet
  • Digital camera or smartphone with camera capabilities
  • Measuring wheel or similar tools
Compensation

Inspections completed and reviewed for accuracy are paid starting at $110 per assignment.
