• Minimum one year of residential loss control surveys experience.
• Must own a Windows 10 computer with internet access.
• Reliable car to cover a wide territory on demand.
• Background check (criminal) and possibly drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Set site inspection appointments with insureds/agents by email or phone.
• Conduct physical inspections of properties as required by the carrier.
• Take clear digital photos of properties.
• Identify hazards and document controls at the property.
• Complete on-site management interviews regarding the property.
• Upload reports/photos to the cloud-based system by deadline.
• Familiarize with client-specific guidelines.
• Communicate with Preferred Reports, agents, and insureds as needed.
• Provide high-quality and professional services.

Job Title

Residential Loss Control Inspector – Independent Contractor

Compensation

Hourly: $25.00 - $45.00 per inspection; paid weekly upon satisfactory order completion.

Employment Type

Contractor, Part‑Time Work, Pay per inspection.

Responsibilities

• Set site inspection appointments with the insured/agent via email and/or phone calls.
• Complete physical inspections of properties as required by the carrier.
• Take clear digital photos of properties.
• Identify and document hazards/controls found at the property.
• Complete on‑site management interviews regarding the property.
• Upload report/photos through the cloud‑based system by the specified deadline.
• Become familiar with client‑specific guidelines.
• Communicate as needed with Preferred Reports, agents, and insureds.
• Provide high‑quality and professional services.

Qualifications

• Preferably one year of experience completing residential insurance loss control surveys and reports.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently to meet hard due dates with minimum supervision.
• Own a computer with Microsoft Windows 10 and high‑speed internet access.
• Be detail oriented and well organized with a flexible schedule.
• Reliable car to cover a wide territory on an as‑needed basis.
• Digital camera, high‑speed internet, knowledge of Microsoft products, and measuring tools (e.g., a camera pole up to 12 ft and a measure wheel).
• Bi‑lingual is a plus.
• Current resume; able to pass a background check, including criminal records and possibly a drug screen.

Education & Experience

Degree not required; Life and Work Proven in lieu of Diploma. Minimum three years of relevant experience. No license required.

Work Environment

Policyholder location; contractor works independently with no assigned office.
