Job summary

SummitLab in Los Angeles is seeking an Instrument Technician on a contract basis to install, calibrate, maintain and repair instruments used in industrial processes. You will work with clients to understand needs and deliver efficient solutions.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering and at least 3 years' industrial experience; familiarity with calibration equipment and PLCs is preferred; strong troubleshooting and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering is required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as an Instrument Technician in an industrial environment.
• Knowledge of calibration equipment and techniques; PLC systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate and troubleshoot instruments (pressure gauges, temperature sensors, flow meters).
• Conduct routine maintenance to ensure instrument accuracy and reliability.
• Diagnose and repair malfunctioning instruments.
• Collaborate with technicians and engineers to resolve technical problems.
• Keep detailed maintenance and repair records.
