Job summary

Snap-Tite Hose in Erie, PA seeks an entry-level Loom Operator to run looms and support equipment in the weaving department. You will manage bobbins, ensure correct winding, and maintain quality as part of a team.

You will be expected to understand the production flow, handle materials safely, and keep work areas clean. High school diploma or GED is required; on-the-job training provided.

Qualifications

• Understand flow between twisting, bobbin winding, looms and move materials accordingly.
• Understand the production schedule and maintain pace with it.
• Safely handle and lift materials and jackets in all areas.
• Operate machinery at an acceptable rate and maintain quality.
• Properly label and identify ply, yarns and fabrics.
• Know yarns, plies and twist levels; understand jacket constructions.
• Keep all areas, machines and floors clean and organized.
• Demonstrate skills to less experienced operators when needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Looms/Creels and support equipment in weaving department.
• Maintain winders and set up new bobbins, winding in the correct direction.
• Change filler yarn bobbins and identify weaving faults; request support as needed.
