Sittercity Incorporated family is seeking a reliable babysitter to assist starting around September 10th, with a flexible start date. You will supervise and engage with our elementary-aged child, supporting them in play, homework, and daily routines.

The ideal candidate should have special needs experience and be comfortable around our large German Shepherd. A car is required for occasional outings and driving to appointments; occasional evenings and some Saturdays may be requested.

Job description

We're looking for a babysitter to assist our family starting around September 10th, with a flexible start date. You will supervise and engage with our elementary-aged child, supporting them in play, homework, and daily routines.The ideal candidate is comfortable around pets, including a large German Shepherd dog, though pet care is not required. Experience with special needs is essential, and you must have a car for occasional outings.Our school age child loves an active babysitter. However, he's highly addicted to screen times and needs activity planning and execution to entice other activities.Meltdowns can happen but can often be managed by providing activities, ensuring food intake, and offering rest breaks.The part time help needed is to provide some driving to appointments, homework help (for a child who is not keen on beginning it, but then will acquiesce because he loves math), and providing hands on entertainment. Searching for someone who may be able to meet child at bus at 3:45pm Monday and Tuesdays and some Fridays through 5:30pm.Need occasional Saturday day (2pm-5pm) and Some Friday and Saturday date nights, as well.If you enjoy working with children and have the necessary experience, we would love to hear from you.
