Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a CNA/Direct Care Giver in Greensboro, NC to provide compassionate care and assist residents with daily living activities. You will support independence, participate in activities, and ensure safety and dignity for all residents within a team.

Responsibilities include documentation, incident reporting, and collaboration with RN/LPN staff. Lifting requirements and flexible scheduling, including weekends, are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Must possess current CNA license from the State where the community is located and in good standing with the Board of Nursing.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Able to work well with all levels of personnel and follow supervisor instructions.
• Capable of lifting 50 lbs and assisting with resident transfers using proper body mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living and encourage independence.
• Perform housekeeping duties in resident areas and common spaces.
• Respond promptly to resident calls and emergencies; document appropriately.
• Plan and participate in activity programs for residents.
• Support move-in transitions and communicate resident status to the care team.

Job Description

The CNA/Direct Care Giver provides quality care and assistance with activities of daily living to residents of the community. The CNA encourages residents to function at their highest level of independence and to participate in community activities. Conducts activities and provides for a meaningful experience for all residents.
Must maintain a working knowledge of all policies and procedures pertaining to the positionAssists residents with activities of daily livingReports incidents involving residents to include care concerns or issues, to appropriate individuals (ex: HCC, RN/LPN, or ED) and completes appropriate documentationPerform housekeeping duties, such as making resident beds, cleaning resident apartments, common areas, dining room, etc. as directed by supervisorRespond promptly to all resident calls for assistance or emergency alertsMust be able to remain calm and competent during emergenciesAssists in planning and conducting activity programs for residentsFollows confidentiality policies regarding release of resident informationAssists residents to and from the dining room, and to and from activitiesChecks on residents, ensures attendance at meals and activitiesChecks on residents who are ill and reports status or concerns to appropriate individuals documents appropriately when necessaryCommunicate verbally and in writing to report resident status, upcoming community information, resident appointments, admissions, and transfersAssists new residents with move-in transition: provide emotional supportReports all resident changes and interventions and interventions in the Daily Log and clinical record.
