Longo Toyota in El Monte, CA is seeking entry-level Service Valet team members to provide first and last impressions for guests. base hourly rate starts at $18.00, with on-site duties including parking and vehicle assistance.

This on-site role offers benefits, weekly pay, and opportunities for advancement within Longo Toyota and Penske Motor Group. The position is on-site at Longo Toyota in El Monte, CA, with a pathway to roles in service, sales, and other areas within the Penske Motor Group

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum six months customer service experience, desired.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record.
• Able to read and comprehend instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Install and remove disposable seat covers, steering wheel covers, floor mats, and ID tags in all vehicles brought in for service.
• Drive vehicles from the service lane to their proper places in the service parking lot.
• Maintain the parking lot in a neat and organized manner.
• Ensure all vehicles in the service parking lot are secured.
• Assist in moving disabled vehicles around the service department.
• Retrieve customer vehicles from the parking lot.

Our Valets create the first and last impression for our guests. From moving vehicles smoothly, safely, and efficiently, Valets represent the dealership in a professional and friendly manner. A large part of your role will be to enhance the Longo guest experience. Our ideal candidate is energetic, self-motivated, a team player, has excellent communication skills, and approaches every task with a positive attitude. The Service Valet Position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include Base Hourly Rate of $18.00.

Responsibilities

• Drive vehicles from the service lane to their proper places in the service parking lot
• Maintain the parking lot in a neat and organized manner
• Ensure all vehicles in the service parking lot are secured
• Assist in moving disabled vehicles in or around the service department
• Retrieve customer vehicles from the parking lot
• Help maintain a professional appearance of the service departments
• Inspect each vehicle for lot damage that may have been occurred during the vehicle’s stay in the service department
• Must follow all company safety policies and practices
• Assist in all other areas of the service department, as needed. Thisincludes closing duties – taking out the trash for tech stalls, etc.
• Maintain high ethical standards
• Maintain professional appearance

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of six (6) months customer service experience, desired
• Ability to coordinate activities with other employees; read and comprehend instructions and information in the English language; work well with the public
• Must have a valid driver’s license and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record

• Frequently bend, stretch, twist, or reach with their body, arms, and/or legs; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
• Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions including low and high temperatures, precipitation and wind, noisy environments, and small and/or enclosed spaces.
• Adjusting, moving, and lifting objects up to 50 pounds.
• Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.
• Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.
• Frequently operating motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment.
• Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and poles.
