Job description

About Ucardia

Ucardia is redefining longevity and vitality. We combine credentialed coaches, registered dietitians, and AI-powered insights to deliver personalized, scalable programs that help people optimize cardiovascular and metabolic health — extending healthspan and improving quality of life. Our mission is to help people live longer, stronger, and healthier lives, and make it seamless for organizations to deliver that impact.

Headquartered in Dallas, Texas, we partner with forward-thinking medical practices, concierge providers, and employers who want to differentiate their offerings, improve outcomes, and elevate the care experience through a modern, tech-enabled platform that integrates seamlessly into care delivery.

Why this role matters

You’ll be the human anchor in a tech-augmented experience. Members will meet you through live video sessions and stay connected through high-frequency asynchronous messaging, creating a coaching relationship that adapts to real life and real data. You’ll use wearables, behavior science, and compassionate accountability to bridge ambition → action → habit.

What you’ll own (responsibilities)
  • Live video sessions – Lead one-on-one video coaching sessions that blend behavior change guidance with practical movement, stress, sleep, and nutrition support. Use these sessions to assess progress, troubleshoot barriers, demo exercises, refine technique, and deepen trust.
  • Asynchronous messaging – Maintain structured, proactive communication via in-app messaging. Send timely nudges based on device alerts, plateaus, or meaningful trends. Respond with clarity, encouragement, and action steps that keep members moving forward between live sessions.
  • Member engagement – Build relationships that feel personal and supportive—even at scale. Use a mix of video, text, and voice notes to adapt to each member’s communication style and needs. Keep momentum steady through wins, setbacks, and life changes.
  • Data-driven coaching – Interpret wearable and biometric signals (HR, HRV, steps, sleep, BP, etc.) and translate them into personalized coaching insights. Spot patterns early and shift strategy before regression takes root.
  • Adaptive plans – Co-create fitness, nutrition, stress, and sleep strategies rooted in SMART goals. Update plans fluidly based on real-time data, lived context, and member feedback.
  • Form & technique support – Demonstrate movements live on camera; observe and correct form with tact and clarity. Offer modifications for injury, limited equipment, or time constraints.
  • Clinical escalation – Identify red flags and route members to clinicians or exercise physiologists through established triage protocols.
  • Operational feedback loops – Share patterns and member insights with product, content, and operations teams. Help refine messaging templates, flows, nudges, and program logic.
  • Documentation & measurement – Keep thoughtful, concise notes and ensure key outcomes are tracked. Highlight member wins and pain points that inform dashboards and product direction.
What you bring (required)
  • Professional coaching credential: NBC-HWC (or exam-enrolled)
  • Fitness or nutrition certification: CPT (ACE, NASM, ACSM) or equivalent
  • At least one year of virtual coaching experience with live video + async messaging
  • Skill in managing a caseload and maintaining proactive engagement
  • Comfort interpreting HR, HRV, steps, sleep, and other device data
  • Evening and weekend availability, plus select daytime blocks
  • High empathy paired with structured accountability
  • Comfort with fast-moving, evolving startup environments
Bonus skills & differentiators
  • Experience with cardiovascular or cardiometabolic populations
  • Bilingual, especially Spanish
  • Early-stage or digital health startup experience
  • Slack, Google Workspace, and coaching CRM familiarity
What success looks like (first 3 months)
  • Response SLAs under eight business hours
  • Consistent member engagement across sessions and messaging
  • Smooth collaboration with Member Support
  • A meaningful improvement contributed to content, coaching flows, or product
  • Effective partnership with clinical/exercise specialists
Tools & environment

You’ll coach through our proprietary Coach Portal and mobile app, using a mix of live video, asynchronous chat, and behavior-focused tools. You’ll interact with integrations like Apple Health, Fitbit, and connected blood pressure monitors; communicate on Slack; and use CRM/ticketing systems for support workflows.
