Welcome to Gallagher Middle School

Vincent J. Gallagher Middle School, home of the Wolf Pack, serves students in grades 6, 7, and 8. Gallagher embraces the middle school concept as students are placed on teams, creating a close‑knit community of learners within the school. This fosters connections between teachers and students resulting in each student being known well by several adults in the building. Beyond the core academic areas of English language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies, students take courses in fine and performing arts, physical education, health, computer science, world language, library science, literacy, group guidance and advisory. Many students participate in extra‑curricular activities such as student government, yearbook, dance team, Science Olympiad, drama, National Junior Honor Society, athletics, Special Olympics Unified program and more. Students also actively lead and participate in community service activities such as charitable fundraising and recycling. Recognizing the unique needs of early adolescents, we strive to foster independence, self‑advocacy, and wellness in our students. Our committed faculty and staff provide students with a safe and supportive learning environment. Through a collaborative team of support professionals and evidence‑based intervention processes, our Multi‑Tiered System of Supports utilizes proven methods for success in academics, as well as the social and emotional realms. The wolf pack is symbolic of our middle school philosophy where we strive to work as a team to accomplish our mission. As our motto eloquently states, “The power of the wolf is in the pack.” Each student is as strong as the pack is strong. We must work together to create a pack characterized by an innate ability to care for one another, a desire to collaborate to complete tasks, a commitment to the survival of the pack, an understanding of one’s role in the pack, and the desire to lead the pack when needed.
