Job summary

RSU 24 is seeking a long‑term substitute Registered Nurse to support our elementary schools starting mid‑February through the end of the school year. The nurse will assess, screen, plan, intervene, evaluate, counsel, manage and refer for students’ health needs to minimize absences and maximize educational opportunities, fostering a healthy school climate.

Qualifications include pediatric nursing experience, preferably in a school/community setting; current Maine RN license; CPR certification;

RSU #24 is looking for a long term substitute Registered Nurse to work at our elementary schools beginning mid-February until the end of the school year.The successful candidate will provide assessment, screening, planning, intervention, evaluation, counseling, management and/or referrals concerning the health and medical care needs of students for the purpose of minimizing absences due to illness, maximizing educational opportunities, and creating a healthy school climate.

Qualifications Profile:

• Successful experiences working with the pediatric population, preferably in a community or school setting desirable.

License Or Certificate

• Registered professional nurse, designated as R.N. as defined and determined by state law, and currently licensed in the state.
• Current certification in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).

Compensation: $270.60 per diem
