Start ASAP through December 23, 2026, at a per diem rate of $230. The position is part-time and based at Attleboro’s K-8 campuses, reporting to the Director of Special Education and Student Support Services.

Qualifications

• Prefer licensed Social Worker (MA) with school experience.
• Experience with students with global developmental disabilities.
• Spanish language ability preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build rapport among staff, families and students.
• Provide school-based individual and small group counseling per IEP/504.
• Collaborate to develop IEPs, Functional Behavior Assessments and safety plans.
• Support student transitions and MTSS initiatives.
• Consult with staff and families on social, emotional, and behavioral concerns.

Start Date: ASAP through December 23, 2026

Salary - Certified Massachusetts Teacher Per Diem Rate $230.00 per day

Purpose:
To develop and deliver social, emotional, and behavioral supports and strategies in order to help students institute positive changes and help them to achieve their fullest potential.

Reports to: Principal and/or Directorof Special Education and Student Support Servicesor designee

Performance Responsibilities

• Build and support rapport among staff, families and students
• Effectively apply clinical skills within an educational setting including small group within MTSS
• Provide school-based individual and small group counseling support to students with social, emotional and behavioral needs per their IEP/504; facilitate social skills groups within programming
• Provide conflict resolution support to staff, families and students
• Serve as a member of the school based Critical Incident Team and facilitate the 504 team
• Serve as a member of the Student Support and Special Education Team.
• Collaborate with staff to develop IEPs, Functional Behavior Assessments, Behavioral Intervention Plans, and Building/Safety Plans
• Provide consultation services to staff, families and students regarding social, emotional and behavioral concerns
• Provide consultation support regarding the accessibility of community-based medical and mental health services
• Maintain communication with community-based medical and mental health service providers
• Assist with the facilitation of student safety assessmentsSupport student transition from mental health facilities/hospitals to school
• Support student transition across grade and academic levels
• Support school-wide initiatives.
• Perform other responsibilities as deemed appropriate and assigned by a supervisor and/or designee

Skills

• Safety Care trained preferred
• Experience with students with global developmental disabilities
• Licensed as a Social Worker in MA preferred.
• Spanish speaker preferred.
