Job summary

Peabody Public Schools is seeking a Long-Term Substitute Paraprofessional to support students from 11/2/2026 to 2/12/2027. The role requires assisting students individually or in groups, using diverse strategies to reinforce learning, and completing CPI training in the first year.

A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with an Associate's degree or 48 college credits, or completion of MA's Parapro/WorkKeys assessment.

• Assist students individually, in small groups, or in a large group, utilizing a variety of strategies and techniques to present or reinforce learning.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• CPI training (crisis prevention intervention training) must be successfully completed in the Paraprofessionals first year
• A high school diploma or equivalent; and an Associate'sdegree (or higher); or completion of 48 credit hours at an Institution of Higher Education; or completion of a formal Massachusetts endorsed assessment: Parapro or WorkKeys.
• Ability to use or willingness to learn appropriate technology
• Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.
