Responsibilities

• Provide consistent classroom instruction for the duration of the assigned teacher's absence.

• Assess student learning, grade assignments, and maintain accurate records.
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to students.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

• Provide consistent classroom instruction for the duration of the assigned teacher's absence.
• Implement established curriculum and lesson plans and, when necessary, assist with planning lessons and instructional activities.
• Create a positive and engaging classroom environment that encourages student participation, responsibility, and academic success.
• Assess student learning, grade assignments, and maintain accurate academic records as appropriate.
• Provide students with timely and constructive feedback.
• Maintain effective classroom management while fostering respect, responsibility, and Christian values.
• Communicate effectively with school administration, faculty, staff, students, and families.
• Follow school policies, procedures, schedules, and established classroom expectations.
• Participate in faculty meetings, school activities, and other responsibilities as needed during the assignment.
• Work collaboratively with department faculty and administration to ensure continuity of instruction throughout the teacher's absence.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates should:

• Have a bachelor's degree; teaching experience is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrate strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Be dependable, organized, flexible, and comfortable working independently.
• Be able to establish positive and professional relationships with high school students, families, faculty, and staff.
