Virginia Beach City Public Schools is seeking qualified substitute teachers to provide learning experiences and a supportive classroom environment under the direction of the school principal. Plan instruction, supervise students, monitor outcomes, and maintain records in a professional, collaborative setting.

Candidates must be endorsed to teach the subject or be eligible for Virginia teaching licensure; daily rates are $125 (unlicensed) or $135 (licensed), with a long-term rate of $205 per day

Qualifications

• Knowledge of VBCPS curriculum and techniques for integrating curriculum; understanding of teaching and learning processes.
• Ability to infuse technology into curriculum; work with administrators, staff, students and community.
• Excellent oral and written communication and human relations skills.

Responsabilités

• Plan and provide for appropriate learning experiences for students.
• Supervise students in a variety of school related settings.
• Monitor and evaluate student outcomes.
• Communicate with students, parents, staff and community.
• Develop, select and modify instructional plans and materials to meet needs.
• Maintain records and follow required procedures.
