Job summary

Westover Magnet Elementary School in Stamford is seeking a Long-Term Substitute Music Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. Qualifications

• CT certification or eligible for Long-Term Substitute Authorization per CT DOE requirements.

Responsibilities

• The substitute replaces the regular teacher on a daily or long-term basis and is responsible for the continuation of all learning activities in the classroom.
• They are expected to effectively communicate with students and establish a positive classroom climate in the absence of the regular teacher, and maintain classroom discipline.
• They are expected to communicate with the classroom teacher they are replacing, informing them of progress and issues during the absence.
