Job summary

Totality Staffing & Consulting Services, LLC in Des Moines, IA is seeking a compassionate Nursing Assistant to provide personal care and support in a senior care setting. Starting pay is $24 per hour, with the opportunity to earn up to $28 by taking last-minute shifts, and options for weekly or daily pay.

You will assist residents with dressing, grooming, hygiene, meals and mobility, document vital signs, and promptly report changes to the nursing staff.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• English reading/writing and following instructions required.
• Completion of 75-hour Nurse Aide course required.
• At least 1 year of CNA experience.
• Maintain certification without restrictions.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assistance in the facility.
• Assist residents with dressing, grooming, bathroom, feeding, and baths/showers.
• Perform basic treatments per nursing staff direction, such as taking vital signs.
• Observe and report changes in residents' condition; communicate effectively with the team.

Job Summary

Nursing Assistants are responsible for providing personal care and assistance in the facility. Nursing Assistants may be called upon to help residents with personal hygiene, including assistance with dressing, grooming, going to the bathroom, feeding and the giving of baths/showers. Nursing Assistants will be called upon to provide basic treatments as required at the direction of the nursing staff. This includes but is not limited to such things as taking vital signs. Nursing Assistants are responsible for observing and reporting changes in residents’ physical and emotional conditions to the nursing staff. Excellent communication and team skills are needed.
