Job summary

PharMerica in Easley, SC is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Technician for our non-retail, long-term care team. You will fill prescriptions, label products, prepare medications (including non-sterile compounding), and enter data into the computer to generate labels and support inventory.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Pharmacy Technician license as required by state.
• Experience in a pharmacy setting and medical terminology.
• Ability to operate a computer; recognize and identify medications.
• Detail oriented; goal oriented, team player, and effective oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescription items and package medications for dispensing and delivery.
• Accurately label products, including cautionary and auxiliary labels.
• Prepare medications, including non-sterile compounding (liquids, powders, ointments).
• Enter patient and prescription data into the computer system to generate labels.
• Participate in pharmacy inventory management, including checking stock and removing expired medications.
• Handle returned medications per protocol (credit or destruction).
• Communicate professionally with internal and external customers.
• Assist with onboarding and training new pharmacy staff.
• Operate in the Narcotics Room and use automated machines to prepack medications.
• Mix IV medications and sanitize IV room/equipment.
• Service facility-based dispensing machines (e.g., RxNow).
• Perform other pharmacy support tasks as assigned.
