Job summary

PharMerica in Hilo, HI is hiring a full-time Pharmacy Technician to join our closed-door, non-retail team serving long-term care and senior living clients. Schedule: Monday–Friday 11:00am–7:30pm, rotating weekends 9:00am–5:00pm.

Qualifications

• Experience in a pharmacy setting and familiarity with medical terminology.
• Ability to operate a computer and recognize medications.
• Strong attention to detail and effective communication within a team.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescription items and package medications for dispensing and delivery.
• Label products with cautionary and auxiliary labels.
• Prepare medications including non-sterile compounding.
• Enter patient and prescription data into the system for labeling.
• Assist with inventory management and handling returned medications.
• Communicate professionally with internal and external customers.
• Assist onboarding and training of new staff.
• Support narcotics room and IV medication preparation tasks.
