PharMerica in Washington, NC is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join a closed-door pharmacy team serving long-term care and senior living clients. The role supports dispensing, labeling, inventory, and training within a non-retail setting.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, pharmacy terminology knowledge, and state-specific technician licensure as required. Weekend rotation is possible; benefits include health, dental, vision, HSAs/FSAs, tuition support, 401(k), and PTO.

Formación

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Pharmacy Technician license (as required by state).
• Experience in a pharmacy setting and with medical terminology preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Fills prescription items, packages medications for dispensing and delivery, meeting accuracy and productivity standards.
• Labels products appropriately, including cautionary or auxiliary labels.
• Participates in periodic inventory of the pharmacy.
• May check in drugs and supplies, stock shelves and remove out-of-date items.
• Prepares medications including emulsions, liquids, powders and ointments, which may include non-sterile compounding.
• Communicates with internal and external customers in a pleasant and professional manner.
• May process returned medications from the facility for credit or destruction.
• Assists in training of new employees.
• Works in the Controlled Drugs (Narcotics) Room;
• Works with automated machine to prepack drugs;
• Manages inventory functions such as monitoring pharmaceutical levels and identify expired medications;
• Inputs patient data and medication orders into a computer system to produce labels;
• Mixes/packages IV medications, sanitizes IV room, equipment and hood
• Serves facility-based medication dispensing machines (e.g., RxNow)
• Performs other tasks as assigned
