Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health is seeking a long-term care facility (LTC) focused BC/BE Geriatrician to join one of the largest and most well-established geriatric programs in the region. Certification and experience as an LTC facility Medical Director are preferred, but motivated candidates aiming to become Certified Medical Directors will also be considered. The physician will be part of a team including other geriatricians and nurse practitioners, covering a full spectrum of care in the long-term-care setting, including short-term rehab, personal care, long-term skilled care, and end-of-life care. Responsibilities include weekday facility rounds and periodic evening and weekend home call. There are also opportunities for teaching family medicine residents and geriatric fellows, and engaging in quality improvement, leadership, and committee activities.

This employed practice comprises 3 office locations, a home-care program, a hospital consult service, and care and medical direction at 6 nursing facilities throughout the community. Our team of 18 geriatricians, 1 internist, 20 nurse practitioners, a social worker, and a geriatric pharmacist is trained to maintain older patients' health, focusing on early diagnosis and treatment of aging-related conditions, including Alzheimer’s and dementia. We are committed to providing compassionate, personalized care to improve our patients’ quality of life.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Medicine (Allopathic/Osteopathic)
• Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Geriatric Medicine
• Possess or able to obtain an unrestricted PA Medical License
• Certification as a Medical Director (CMD) is preferred
