Gallaudet University seeks a Long Term Aide (KDES) to support Deaf and hard of hearing students in K-12 adjacent programs. The role involves working one-on-one with students, ensuring safety and helping them master academic skills while collaborating with teachers.
Applicants should have a High School diploma or GED, plus two years of post-secondary education in education or related fields and at least one year of relevant experience. Fluency in American Sign Language is required.

To provide and work with teacher to ensure the safety and well-being of the students working one-on-one while helping those master skills and improve academic performance in K-12 school settings. Familiarity and be able to react quickly and appropriately in crisis situations, vigilant in monitoring students and be agile, work with students with various instructional activities, classroom and student management.
