Oceanside Staffing is seeking an experienced after-school nanny and family assistant in the Houston area to support two school-aged children (4th and 6th grade). The role balances childcare with light family assistant tasks, with a focus on routine, safety, and dependable communication.

The ideal candidate will be warm, proactive, and organized, able to drive, and comfortable in a home where a parent works remotely. This is a long-term position with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Experience caring for school-aged children.
• Own reliable vehicle with clean driving record.
• Excellent communication with parents and children.
• Punctual, organized, and proactive in daily routines.
• Comfortable balancing childcare with family assistant tasks.

Responsibilities

• School pickup and transporting children to activities and appointments.
• Manage after-school schedules, events, and permission slips.
• Provide homework help and project support as needed.
• Coordinate playdates and supervise children during activities.
• Maintain afternoon/evening routines and prep for the next day.
• Communicate changes in schedules to parents clearly.
• Foster a positive, trusting relationship with the children.
