Job summary

Sysco Northeast Rdc is seeking a professional driver to safely transport products from the warehouse to customer locations across assigned routes. You will ensure timely deliveries, complete logs and inspections, and uphold food safety standards.

The role requires a Class A CDL, ability to work overnights and weekends, and strong communication with customers. Prior tractor-trailer experience is preferred, with driving school accepted in lieu of or in addition to a diploma.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, plus 1 year of tractor-trailer driving experience preferred.
• Completion of a tractor-trailer driving school will be accepted in lieu of, or with, a high school diploma.

Responsibilities

• Safely transports product from the warehouse to the customer location on assigned routes.
• Completes all required DOT logs and vehicle inspections accurately.
• Ensures food safety protocols and proper temperatures are maintained during delivery.
• Maintains equipment and communicates route or loading issues to management.
• Builds strong relationships with customers through courteous service and clear communication.
• Operates tractor-trailer and related equipment; adheres to schedule and safety policies.
• Reads and follows traffic signs, plans work independently, and stays alert to surroundings.
• Works overnight, weekends, and holidays as needed to meet customer needs.
