Job summary

Electrify is seeking a Long Form Video Editor for The Rundown to edit 30–60 minute interviews for YouTube, handling the full edit, motion graphics, color grading, and audio polish while maintaining the channel style.

You will join a remote, globally distributed team with a focus on AI and digital media. 2–5 years of YouTube editing experience preferred; strong collaboration and independence required.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of professional experience editing content for YouTube and/or other social media platforms.
• Mastery of Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere Pro, with a solid understanding of motion graphics workflows. Animation experience is a plus.
• Expert-level understanding of full stack editing including basic color grading, audio mixing, sound effects, music selection and packaging for final delivery.
• An understanding of good design principles.
• A strong communicator and collaborator.
• An independent worker who pays close attention to detail and is comfortable owning work.
• An interest in AI, tech, and digital media.

Responsibilities

• Editing: transform raw interview recordings into polished YouTube videos.
• Motion Graphics: create lower-third text animations and supporting graphics.
• Polishing the edit: ensure color correction, audio mixing, sound effects, and music for final export.
• Maintain visual style: uphold the account look and feel while staying current with platform trends.
• Optimize for platform performance: edit with retention in mind to maximize watch time.
• Self-motivated and organized: manage multiple projects and maintain consistent quality.

About the role

The Video Editor will work closely with other members of the video team to produce video content for The Rundown YouTube page, consisting primarily of 30 to 60 minute interviews. The video editor will manage the full edit, including motion graphics, sound mixing, and visual polish.

Key Responsibilities

• Editing: The video editor will take the raw recording of the interview and turn it into a polished video for YouTube.
• Motion Graphics: This includes lower-third text animations to display the guest and host names, and other motion graphics that support the content.
• Polishing the edit: Upholding video quality standards by making sure videos have the appropriate color correction, audio mixing, sound effects, and music selection before the final export.
• Maintain visual style: Maintain the look and feel of the account while staying current with platform trends
• Optimize for platform performance: Edit with retention in mind. Engaging intros, tight pacing, strategic text placement & visuals designed to maximize watch time.
• Self-motivated and organized: Manage multiple projects and stay organized, keeping quality consistent across everything you put out.
