Job summary

Veterans Health Administration in Fredericksburg, VA is seeking a Warehouse Worker to join the Receiving/Distribution area of the Logistics Service. This role involves receiving, storing, selecting, and shipping general and specialized materials and equipment.

Responsibilities include verifying shipments against purchase orders, maintaining inventory, using FIFO, handling hazardous items, and delivering within the warehouse and on-site. Working hours are Mon-Fri, 8:00am to 4:30pm.

Responsibilities

Receiving shipments and verifying items against electronic purchase orders and related documentation.
Maintaining the flow of the warehouse by moving, delivering, shelving, storing and inventorying materials and equipment.
Handling delivery and warehousing of hazardous, flammable, and temperature sensitive products.
Using FIFO for stock rotation and maintaining temperature controls.
Distributing and stocking primaries with inventories and documenting discrepancies as appropriate.
Preparing materials for shipment and ensuring proper labeling and packaging.
Operating and maintaining powered industrial vehicles in accordance with OSHA standards.
Electronic receiving into inventory, scanning, picking and filling orders, and stocking shelves in a clean environment.
Performing other duties as assigned; schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm.
