Job summary

Munson Healthcare in Gaylord, MI, is hiring for a full-time Logistics professional focused on inventory control and supply management. The role supports patient care by ensuring accurate stock, timely replenishments, and efficient order processing in a hospital setting.

You will perform cycle counts, manage MMIS entries, and coordinate with vendors to prevent shortages. A 2-year associate degree or equivalent experience is required, with strong attention to detail and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 2 Year /Associate Degree in business-related field.
• High School diploma or GED with 7 years of warehouse inventory control experience or 5 years in NMSA Supply Chain management.

Responsibilities

• Promotes and insures customer satisfaction through prompt identification and resolution of customer complaints, problems and issues.
• Receives customer requests by telephone, email or mail and analyzes requests to determine best response.
• Maintains overall inventory control by physical/computerized MMIS using approved procedures for accurately processing orders, replenishments, returns, credits and inventory discrepancy resolution.
• Performs cycle counts quarterly along with an annual inventory and monitors inventory levels.
• Works with supplier representatives to monitor consignment inventory where applicable.
• Assists in special projects related to inventory locations and sets up new items as needed.
• Reviews completed pick tickets to ensure accuracy and communicates shortages to the customer.
• Creates and updates requisition templates and PAR forms as needed.

A Day in the Life

• Analyzes and correctly processes customer returns and credits based on policy and appropriateness of return.
• Works with supplier representatives tomonitorconsignment inventory (where applicable).
• Addresses inventory issues with department contact asappropriate.
• Performs cycle counts quarterly along withan annualinventory (or morefrequentlyasrequired).
• Assistsin special projects that relate to specific inventorylocation.
• Performs inventory balancing checkson a monthly basisandis responsible forresults.
• Receives and/or processes customer order requisitions/forms to issue stock and create pick tickets if not system generated. Verifies the accuracy of order keying and disburses pick tickets asappropriate toensure ability to meet customer order shipments.
• As applicable, reviews completed pick tickets to ensure they are properly filledinand all discrepancies noted. Communicates non-fills,backordersor shortages to the customer.
• As applicable, doesfollow-up on non-fills,backordersor shortages with the customer to make sure patient care outcomesaren’taffected andcommunicatesissues to appropriate people/areas.
• Helps set upnew items, update current items, or remove inactive items from MMIS as needed.
• Utilizes inventory control information system to define reorder point parameters in support of assignedobjectives. Routinely reviews reorder point parameters to adjust to changes in demand and/or supply.
• Creates,managesand updates requisition templates and PAR forms as needed.
• Conducts process for assurance of stock rotation as well asrevision controlledinventory.

Serves as a backup for, or assistant to, the Logistics Tech I with order pick processing when necessary to meet customer delivery requirements

What’s Required

• 2 Year /Associate Degree in businessrelated field.

OR

• High School or GED and minimum of 7yearspreviousexperience in a warehousing inventory control / materials planning environment or 5 years of experience in NMSA Supply Chain management.
