Job summary

Qualifications

  • Experience with inventory management, warehouse operations, logistics, asset tracking, and material handling.
  • Familiarity with ERP platforms, CMDBs, asset management repositories.
  • Knowledge of inbound and outbound shipping documentation and inventory control procedures.
  • Experience performing inventory audits, cycle counts, reconciliations, and compliance-related activities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and with distributed teams.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and wear PPE.
  • Experience in data center, warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or logistics environments.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory, asset, and configuration data across systems and CMDBs.
  • Perform cycle counts, audits, reconciliations, and data corrections; support compliance audits.
  • Execute material movements including shipping/receiving and asset tracking per processes.
  • Coordinate freight pickups, deliveries, and shipping with field techs and hubs.
  • Monitor inventory levels, identify shortages, and support replenishment.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, safety requirements, and regulations.
  • Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance safety and efficiency.
  • Support additional operational, inventory, logistics, and project activities as needed.

THE ROLE:

AMD is seeking an Inventory & Logistics Specialist to support critical data center operations by ensuring the efficient flow, tracking, and control of inventory and assets across multiple data center locations. This role supports operational readiness, compliance, and deployment/maintenance of data center infrastructure. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams and logistics partners to drive operational excellence in a fast-paced environment.

THE PERSON:

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and customer-focused, with a strong understanding of inventory control, logistics, and warehouse operations. They are comfortable working independently and collaboratively within geographically distributed teams, take ownership of operational accuracy, and proactively identify opportunities to improve processes, productivity, and inventory integrity. The candidate demonstrates strong communication skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced data center environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory, asset, and configuration data across inventory management systems, asset repositories, and configuration management databases.
  • Perform inventory cycle counts, audits, reconciliations, data corrections, and support regulatory compliance and certification audit activities.
  • Execute material movement activities including shipping, receiving, inventory transactions, asset tracking, and inventory management in accordance with established processes.
  • Coordinate freight carrier pickups, delivery schedules, and shipping activities with field technicians, logistics teams, and central hubs.
  • Monitor inventory levels, identify stock shortages, escalate issues to management, and support replenishment activities.
  • Ensure all inventory and logistics activities comply with company standards, policies, safety requirements, and industry regulations.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements that enhance safety, productivity, operational efficiency, and inventory accuracy.
  • Support additional operational, inventory, logistics, and project-related activities as needed.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
  • Experience with inventory management, warehouse operations, logistics, asset tracking, and material handling processes.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems, ERP platforms, asset management repositories, and configuration management databases (CMDBs).
  • Knowledge of inbound and outbound shipping documentation, freight coordination, receiving operations, and inventory control procedures.
  • Experience performing inventory audits, cycle counts, reconciliations, and compliance-related activities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively within local and geographically dispersed teams.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and data accuracy.
  • Experience supporting data center, warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or logistics environments.
  • Ability to safely operate material handling equipment, including pallet jacks.
  • Ability to travel locally between data center locations as required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (23 kg) when necessary.
  • Ability to safely climb ladders and work in operational facility environments.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks including bending, twisting, lifting, carrying, and handling equipment and materials.

LOCATION: Phoenix Metro, AZ

Hours: Mon - Friday; 7:00am - 3:00pm
