Job summary

RTX is seeking a Logistics & Supportability Systems Engineer II in the US MA TEWKSBURY area to ensure logistics and sustainment requirements are integrated across the product life cycle. You will develop analyses, provisioning data, and spares availability models in collaboration with engineering teams and customers.

The role emphasizes advanced logistics principles, data-driven decisions, and the ability to work with limited supervision on moderately complex projects.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience with data analysis, data collection, logistics, Engineering Documentation, CM, or PDM.

As a Logistics & Supportability Systems Engineer II, you’ll be a key member of the Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) organization, working closely with engineering teams, program leadership, and customers to ensure logistics, sustainment, and supportability requirements are fully integrated into the total system solution across the product life cycle. In this role, you are responsible for developing and maintaining detailed Logistics Supportability Analyses, provisioning data for hardware components, and conducting spares analyses and spares availability modeling for products within a defined product line. You will operate with limited supervision, applying systems‑level thinking, engineering judgment, and advanced logistics principles to refine and improve sustainment products that support program objectives.

Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) is responsible for ensuring our products are safe, reliable, maintainable, and delivered on time. The organization is comprised of multiple disciplines that support engineering teams, program offices, and our customers. LCE disciplines are engaged throughout the entire product life cycle—from initial concept and design through deployment, sustainment, and eventual deactivation.

Qualifications
You Must Have
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience with one or more of the following: data analysis, data collection, logistics, Engineering Documentation, Configuration Management (CM), or Product Data Management (PDM).
We Prefer
  • Experience with various areas of the Technical Data Package (drawings, parts lists, and electrical schematics) and experience generating/interpreting Parts List, system drawings and/or logistics plans.
  • Spares Analysis and Spares List Development (Poisson Based Statistical Analysis, OPUS Suite, or similar analysis software experience).
  • Experience in performing Level of Repairability Analysis (LORA) using COMPASS and/or OPUS.
  • Experience in the development and maintenance of Logistics Management Information (LMI) in accordance with MIL-STD-1388-2B, GEIA-STD-0007, or MIL-PRF-49506.
  • Experience utilizing EAGLE, POWERLOG or SLICWave tools.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
