Qualifications

The Integrated Airborne Solutions Branch, part of the Defense Sector at Leidos, currently has an opening for a cleared Logistics & Supply Support Specialist to work in our Beavercreek, OH office. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience supporting Air Force Research Laboratory, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, and other Department of Defense missions.

As part of our Logistics team, you will support a diverse portfolio of programs involving software design and development, hardware interfacing and integration, laboratory experimentation, ground and flight testing, and deployment of cutting-edge, next‑generation solutions.

Description:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail‑oriented Logistics & Supply Support Specialist to support material availability, supplier coordination, delivery performance, receiving, accountable property interfaces, and supply‑chain execution for assigned programs.

The position serves as a key coordination point among program teams, Logistics, Global Supply Chain (GSC), Contracts, Finance, Property, Engineering, Quality, and other functional organizations. The successful candidate will help translate program material requirements into actionable logistics information, track materials throughout the acquisition and delivery lifecycle, maintain accurate supporting records, identify schedule and supply risks, and provide administrative and analytical support to authorized GSC personnel.

The position may gather supplier and market information, coordinate requirements, prepare analyses, monitor supplier and material status, and provide documentation necessary to support acquisition activities. The position does not independently select suppliers, negotiate contractual price or terms and conditions, obligate Leidos funds, execute or modify purchase orders or supplier agreements, or exercise Procurement/Purchasing authority. Those activities are performed by duly authorized Global Supply Chain personnel in accordance with company policy and delegated authority.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Coordinate program material and supply requirements with Program Management, Engineering, Logistics, Global Supply Chain (GSC), Property, Finance, Contracts, Quality, and other functional stakeholders; review requirements and supporting documentation for completeness and coordinate resolution of gaps or inconsistencies prior to submission to GSC.
  • Support authorized GSC personnel with supplier and sourcing activities by gathering requirements, researching potential sources, collecting publicly available or supplier‑provided information, and preparing factual comparisons of price, availability, lead time, delivery schedule, technical characteristics, and other program requirements for GSC review and decision.
  • Maintain accurate logistics, material, supplier‑support, receiving, and transaction‑support records in approved enterprise systems and program repositories; support supplier onboarding and documentation activities by collecting, tracking, and routing required information and records to the appropriate functional owner for review and approval.
  • Track material requirements throughout the acquisition and delivery lifecycle, including ordering, supplier acknowledgement, shipment, receipt, inspection, property accountability, and delivery; monitor material status, lead times, delivery schedules, shortages, late deliveries, and open commitments, and communicate risks or issues to appropriate program and functional stakeholders.
  • Coordinate material receipt, inspection, acceptance, storage, movement, issue, transfer, and disposition activities and support resolution of routine delivery, quantity, receiving, quality‑documentation, property, invoice, and other transaction discrepancies with GSC and applicable functional stakeholders.
  • Support government accountable property processes by maintaining accurate material and property records and coordinating with authorized Property personnel regarding receipt, identification, transfer, inventory, disposition, and other property‑management requirements.
  • Support material planning and logistics analysis, including demand tracking, material availability, lead‑time analysis, shortage identification, delivery forecasting, supplier delivery performance, and identification of recurring transportation, receiving, inventory, or process issues; recommend practical corrective actions to the appropriate functional owner.
  • Provide logistics, material, receiving, delivery, property, shipment, and other supply‑support information needed to support authorized GSC purchase‑order administration and closeout, as well as program and proposal‑development activities.
  • Apply working knowledge of applicable FAR, DFARS, contractual flow‑downs, export‑control, cybersecurity and controlled‑information, counterfeit‑parts avoidance, small‑business, and company requirements; identify and promptly refer potential compliance or contractual issues to the appropriate authorized functional personnel.
  • Protect company, supplier, customer, proprietary, export‑controlled, and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) in accordance with applicable policies, contractual requirements, and authorized systems.
  • Participate in program reviews, material‑status meetings, internal reviews, audits, inventories, training, and continuous‑improvement activities; support implementation of approved Logistics and supply‑chain processes and recommend process improvements to appropriate functional owners.
Basic Qualifications
  • Must have an active DoD Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations, Finance, or a related field with at least 2 or more years of relevant experience. An additional 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in logistics, material management, supply support, supply chain, supplier coordination, property, operations, acquisition support, or a related field. Relevant internships, co‑op assignments, military experience, and academic projects may be considered.
  • Experience coordinating material requirements, deliveries, shipments, receiving activities, supplier information, or other supply‑chain transactions.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word, with the ability to learn ERP, logistics, material‑management, purchasing, supplier‑management, and reporting systems.
  • Ability to review material and transaction data, identify inconsistencies, maintain accurate records, and follow established approval and escalation processes.
  • Strong organizational skills with demonstrated attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple material requirements and competing due dates.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with cross‑functional teams and external suppliers.
  • Ability to analyze material availability, delivery schedules, supplier‑provided information, and logistics data and communicate risks to stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively in a deadline‑driven, regulated environment.
  • Ability to work independently on moderately complex assignments with appropriate functional guidance and escalation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting defense, aerospace, federal contracting, or another regulated environment.
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense programs.
  • Familiarity with FAR, DFARS, government‑contracting requirements, and contractual flow‑downs affecting material, logistics, or supplier activities.
  • Experience with material planning, logistics coordination, supplier coordination, shipment tracking, receiving, inventory, accountable property, or supply‑chain operations.
  • Experience supporting acquisition activities in coordination with authorized Procurement/Purchasing personnel.
  • Experience collecting supplier information and preparing price, delivery, lead‑time, or technical comparisons for review by authorized decision‑makers.
  • Experience with purchase‑order status tracking, receiving, invoice discrepancy coordination, or transaction documentation.
  • Familiarity with government property requirements and accountable property processes.
  • Experience with ERP, logistics, material‑management, property‑management, or supplier‑management systems.
  • Strong data‑analysis skills for evaluating material status, lead times, shortages, supplier delivery performance, and other logistics metrics.
  • Familiarity with Buy American Act (BAA), Trade Agreements Act (TAA), Certificates of Conformance, counterfeit‑parts avoidance, export‑control, cybersecurity, or CUI requirements.
  • Experience supporting internal reviews, audits, inventories, or process‑improvement initiatives.
  • APICS/ASCM, CLTD, CPIM, CSCP, PMP, or other relevant logistics, supply‑chain, or project‑management certification is a plus.
