Job summary

Daikin offers a well-established 11-week summer internship program where students contribute to meaningful projects. The Logistics intern analyzes the supply chain, transportation, and distribution network and develops recommendations for reducing freight costs and improving on-time delivery.

During the internship you will maintain inventory levels across a multitiered distribution system, support deployment planning across regions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive service

Qualifications

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Graduation dates: December 2027 to May 2029.
• Be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Extract data and generate reporting to assist in performance tracking and decision‑making.
• Review manufacturing and logistics processes to develop distribution and stocking plan for designated customers.
• Conduct research to support customer requests and data needs
• Perform analysis to review potential pitfalls and gaps as identified by others
• Support and enact solutions across customer service, inventory planning, warehouse operations, and product procurement to focused on service improvements and cost reductions.
• Create reporting, analyses and dashboards based upon active needs of the organization
• Maintain system data sets regarding product, customers, and processes to support ERP and Deployment Systems
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on various activities.
• Follow established processes, procedures and Company policies.
