Job summary

Labcorp in Austin, TX seeks a Logistics Supervisor to lead the logistics team, supervise day-to-day operations, and ensure efficient courier performance while maintaining safety and accuracy in shipments.

You will partner with vendors, analyze routes, manage staffing, and report metrics to leadership. A valid driver’s license and 21+ age are required; 3+ years in courier/logistics preferred; Labcorp benefits and growth opportunities accompany the role.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 or more years of professional courier or route-based delivery experience, ideally within a medical or laboratory company.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the day to day operations of the logistics team
  • Manage the performance of all couriers using established performance metrics
  • Implement and review courier routes and schedules to increase efficiencies
  • Ensure department is properly staffed with the ability to cover all necessary routes
  • Establish relationships with outside logistics vendors to obtain coverage when needed
  • Generate and review daily/weekly reports and elevate any issues to leadership
  • Ensure entire logistics staff is properly trained and any performance issues are addressed
  • Meet regularly with direct reports to provide coaching and feedback for their development
  • Address and resolve both internal and external client issues
  • Maintain and monitor department spend to ensure proper budget allocation
  • Manage and maintain branch vehicles according to Corporate Fleet standards
  • Engage in continuous process and service level improvements
  • Responsible for administering and managing policies and procedures
  • Perform administrative and clerical duties as needed

Labcorp is seeking a Logistics Supervisor to join our team in Austin, TX

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm; coverage on other shifts and weekends as needed

Job Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3 or more years of professional courier or route‑based delivery experience, ideally within a medical or laboratory company.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current or Prior Labcorp experience
  • Associates degree
  • 3 years or more experience as a medical courier
  • 3 years or more experience as a supervisor or team lead

  • Ability to motivate and develop team members
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Basic understanding of managing costs and an overall budget
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate with various levels within an organization
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem resolution skills
  • Ability to handle the physical demands of the position
  • Comfortable with handling lab specimens when needed
  • Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
  • Be at least 21 years’ old

  • Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
  • Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
