Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Corporation invites motivated students to join the Logistics & Storage internship/co-op program. You will rotate through L&S components, gaining exposure to multi-disciplinary projects and the Marathon Project Management Process (MPMP) phases: Conceptual, Feasibility, Definition, Implementation, Start-up/Close-out.

Responsibilities include developing project scope, engineering oversight, cost estimating, scheduling, and safe operations.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Concurrent enrollment in a Bachelor's degree seeking program for duration of the experience.
• Strong academic performance.
• Available to work on site 40 hours per week.
• Valid driver's license for work-related travel; travel 15-35%.
• Authorization to work in the United States (employer sponsorship may be needed).

Responsibilities

• Develop project scope and assist engineering oversight.
• Contribute to technical design, cost estimating, and schedule development.
• Evaluate and summarize bid sets; support construction supervision.
• Demonstrate safety leadership and coordinate with operations teams.
• Assist with project documentation.
