Job summary

ASC Engineered Solutions, LLC is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk in North Kingstown, RI to handle incoming and outgoing shipments, use forklift/crane equipment, and manage paperwork.

Responsibilities include verifying packing lists, coordinating with Quality Control, preparing shipping data, and interfacing with dispatchers and suppliers. Must be able to lift 50 lbs, be forklift certified, and pass the DOT medical exam. Full-time position with potential overtime.

Qualifications

• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably M3.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Must be forklift certified and able to operate hoists/cranes.
• DOT medical examination/fitness determination required.
• Must be able to operate commercial vehicle for deliveries/pickups.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed to meet customer demands.
• General computer skills and proficiency with basic software.

Responsibilities

• Receive and unload material from vehicles and move to Quality Control hold area using forklift or crane.
• Check packing list against purchase order and verify quantities.
• Notify Quality Control and submit required paperwork.
• Move material to proper department and storage area after QC release.
• Prepare and document Bill of Lading, labels and data for shipping material.
• Operate commercial vehicles to deliver and pick up material; load and secure loads.
• Report vehicle or forklift malfunctions to supervisor; maintain clean vehicles and area.
• Follow SOPs; identify and remediate safety hazards in the workplace.
• Interface with dispatchers, customers, and suppliers via phone and email.
• Perform other duties as directed by Team Leader/Supervisor.
