The ideal candidate has strong data entry skills, experience with shipping carriers, and a commitment to accuracy, organization, and service.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive, identify, and track customer‑owned test and measurement equipment through all stages of the calibration process using Trescal's asset management and ERP systems.
  • Verify and record equipment manufacturer, model, serial number, asset tag information, and customer‑specific requirements with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ensure the integrity of inventory data for assigned areas, including updating shipping, receiving, and equipment information.
  • Organize and maintain clean, orderly inventory and warehouse areas.
  • Maintain records and documentation in accordance with quality system requirements.
  • Receive, inspect, unpack, and process inbound shipments, verifying contents against applicable documentation.
  • Identify, document, and report discrepancies, shortages, or damage in incoming shipments.
  • Accurately enter and validate equipment information, including manufacturer, model, and serial numbers.
  • Verify equipment identification and customer‑specific requirements.
  • Prepare, package, and ship equipment to customers and vendors in accordance with company procedures and customer requirements.
  • Generate shipping labels and process shipments using carrier systems such as UPS WorldShip and FedEx.
  • Research and arrange appropriate shipping solutions for special packaging requirements or unique customer needs.
  • Coordinate vendor deliveries and complete all required receiving and shipping documentation.
  • Initiate, track, and resolve shipping claims, serving as a point of contact with carriers and customers as needed.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with parcel carriers and other shipping service providers.
  • Assist with local delivery and pickup responsibilities as needed to support business operations and provide coverage for the primary delivery driver.
  • Perform data entry and other administrative tasks related to shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
  • Handle sensitive and high‑value customer equipment with care and professionalism, ensuring proper packaging and protection during transportation and shipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  • Valid state driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to operate a company vehicle and perform pickup and delivery duties as needed.
  • Experience in shipping/receiving, asset management, logistics coordination, calibration services, electronics repair, manufacturing, or other quality‑controlled operational environments preferred.
  • Experience using shipping software, such as UPS WorldShip and FedEx Ship Manager.
  • Experience using inventory, asset management, or ERP systems.
  • Previous customer service or customer‑facing experience.

Other Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a professional and courteous demeanor.
  • Proficient computer skills, including data entry, Microsoft Office Suite, internet research, and database management.
  • Ability to learn and effectively use new software systems and technology.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records and processes.
  • Ability to recognize discrepancies between equipment labels, customer documentation, and system records.
  • Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.

Benefits:
