Job summary

The Lighthouse for The Blind in New Orleans is seeking a Warehouse Shipping/Receiving Associate to support daily order processing, shipments, and inventory control. You will work with the S&R Manager to complete paperwork, review order status, and coordinate with the production team to ensure accurate, timely deliveries.

Responsibilities include forklift loading, preparing shipping documents, and maintaining secure, rotated stock while following Lighthouse Quality System procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; strong basic math skills and clear English communication.
• Ability to communicate with multiple business functions and maintain accuracy.
• Experience with shipping/receiving, inventory, and clerical tasks is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate shipping/receiving responsibilities and plan shipments to meet customer requirements.
• Complete paperwork daily with the S&R Manager and review order status reports.
• Prepare shipping documents and load shipments using forklift and hand tools.
• Maintain organized receiving, inventory, and paperwork; assist with audits and ISO procedures.
• Support warehouse teams; participate in regular inventory counts and improve efficiency.
