Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Representative to join our team in Cedar Rapids, IA. In this role, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by securing new clients and expanding existing relationships within the brokerage sector. You will leverage your industry expertise and proven track record to develop customized solutions that meet our clients' unique needs.

This is a Direct Hire position.

Responsibilities:
  1. Generate new leads and develop a strong pipeline of business through prospecting, networking, and referrals.
  2. Manage a $5 million book of business, achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  3. Build strong, trust-based relationships with clients and understand their transportation and logistics needs.
  4. Develop and present customized logistics solutions that are cost-effective and efficient.
  5. Negotiate contracts and pricing to ensure profitability.
  6. Provide ongoing account management and exceptional customer service.
  7. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and regulations.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation and logistics brokerage sales.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales quotas.
  • Strong understanding of logistics services, including freight forwarding, trucking, and warehousing.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build trust and rapport with clients at all levels.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented with a strong work ethic.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and transportation management systems (TMS) is a plus.
  • Thrives in a remote work environment and values collaboration with a supportive team.
