Job summary

Quanta Services, through Mercer Technical Services (MTS), seeks an Assistant Project Manager to support pipeline logistics, material management, and field services projects. You will assist Project Managers with planning, coordination, documentation, reporting, and project controls, gaining exposure to all aspects of execution.

You will serve as a key support for rail offload operations, yard management, pipe sorting and re-racking, stringing, and ROW logistics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience in project coordination, logistics, or related fields.
• Experience supporting pipeline, energy, industrial, or infrastructure projects preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel and project documentation management.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers in the planning, execution, and closeout of logistics and field services projects.
• Maintain project documentation, daily reports, project files, and closeout packages.
• Track production, inventory, material movement, and project performance metrics against budgets.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, cost trackers, and reporting tools using Excel.
• Assist with project setup including purchase orders, cost coding, vendor coordination, and approvals.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, 3PLs, rail carriers, and field personnel.
• Support invoicing, change orders, and project reporting requirements.
• Participate in client meetings, project reviews, and planning discussions.
• Identify risks and communicate findings to project leadership; travel 10%.
