Koch Fertilizer is seeking a Logistics Planner to support our North American business from Wichita, KS. This role coordinates transportation, inventories, and freight, while delivering cost-effective, reliable product movement and top-tier customer service.

The role reports to a Koch Fertilizer Planning Manager and may travel up to 25%. After-hours support is expected during peak seasons to ensure operational continuity.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional work experience or 1+ year in logistics.
• Experience using Microsoft Office, including Excel for reporting and data analysis.
• Willing to travel up to 25%.
• Willing and able to provide after-hours support during busy seasonal times.

Your Job

Koch Fertilizer is seeking a Logistics Planner to support our North American business. This role is responsible for coordinating transportation activities, managing inventory positions, optimizing freight, and ensuring timely, cost-effective product movement while delivering exceptional customer service.

Our Team

This role will report to a Koch Fertilizer Planning Manager and will be based in Wichita, KS. We anticipate travel to be up to 25% and after-hours support is expected during busy seasonal times.

What You Will Do

• Coordinate customer shipments from Koch and third-party facilities via truck, rail, and barge
• Monitor inventory positions and proactively identify risks and optimization opportunities
• Manage freight execution, equipment utilization, and carrier performance
• Build strong relationships as primary point of contact with customers, carriers, terminals, and internal partners
• Support business strategies and continuous improvement initiatives

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• 2+ years of professional work experience OR 1+ year of experience in logistics
• Experience using Microsoft Office, including Excel for reporting and data analysis
• Willing and able to travel up to 25%
• Willing and able to provide after-hours support as needed during busy, seasonal times.

What Will Put You Ahead

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Agriculture, Engineering, or a related field
• Experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, agriculture, fertilizer, grain, or chemical industries
• Analytical mindset with a focus on process improvement and value creation
• Experience using analytical tools to drive operational improvements
• Effective collaboration across teams, locations, and capabilities
